Our state-of-the-art kennel facilities are fully climate-controlled, ensuring your dog stays cool and comfortable even in the Texas heat. Each guest enjoys access to a private outdoor run (weather permitting), offering fresh air and sunshine throughout the day. For our more social pups, we also offer a spacious play yard where dogs can safely interact and play together under supervision.

Meet the Owner
From a young age, Elizabeth Stroup was surrounded by animals, which ignited her passion for them. Growing up, her household was a mini-zoo, with a lively mix of dogs, cats, hamsters, and even snakes. Each of these pets left an indelible mark on her heart, but her three beloved dogs, featured in Doggy Dome's logo, hold a special place in her life.
Elizabeth's dream was clear: she wanted to work with animals. This passion guided her to Texas A&M after high school, where she pursued biomedical sciences with a concentration in animal sciences. Initially aiming for vet school, she soon realized that the rigorous path of veterinary medicine wasn’t her true calling. Instead, while working at a dog boarding facility in South Texas, she discovered her genuine love for caring for animals in a different way. She formed bonds with many regular canine guests, each one reminding her of why she adored animals so much.
It was during this transformative experience that Elizabeth decided to take a leap of faith and start her own business. Fueled by her love for animals and the joy of working with them directly, Doggy Dome was born, a place where her dreams of creating a nurturing environment for pets could finally come true. Through her venture, Elizabeth continues to share her lifelong passion and make a positive impact on the lives of both animals and their owners.
